Mechanical Defoamers
Frings mechanical defoamers can be used for fermentations and chemical reactions that require a system with a high degree of sterilizability. Frings mechanical defoamers are designed to split the foam into liquid and air. The liquid is pumped back into the reactor or into another vessel, and the air escapes into the atmosphere or scrubber system.

The size of the defoamer to be used depends on the amount of gas and liquid contained in the foam. Frings offers mechanical defoamers with capacities ranging from 1 to 600 cubic meters per hour.
