ALKOMAT ALCOHOL ANALYZER

Offline Analysis
Laboratory analyses to determine the ethanol concentration in the ACETATOR® or in the mash tank, using conventional neutralization/distillation methods are time consuming and expensive.

Analyses with the Frings ALKOMAT require neither filtration and dilution nor neutralization and distillation. After direct injection of the sample it takes less than 5 minutes to perform the IR based analysis of the ethanol content.

A simple calibration procedure is performed by the customer, using a standardized ethanol solution. The ALKOMAT can also be used as reference for all online alcohol probes.

ACETOMAT/ALKOSENS: Alcohol Measurement & Control

Online Analysis
The measurement of ethanol in vinegar fermentations is essential for a fully automatic process control. The signal from the double membrane probe ALKOSENS® II is correlated in the ACETOMAT® II amplifier with the ethanol concentration. This signal can be used as the input for the FRINGS fermentation control system.

While the new ACETOMAT® III controls the simple "repeated batch" process, the more complex processes like the "single stage high strength" process or the "dual stage high strength" process require the FRINGS FFC system. An acid strength of higher than 20% w/v in the ACETATOR® is achievable with these "high end" processes.
